Tegan Holmes is a Manager on RESOLVE’s Sustainable Resources program team, which seeks to improve the social, environmental, and development contribution of the natural resource sector and accelerate the transition to a low-carbon future. In her role, Tegan collaborates with the program team to support project design, execution and communications related to the artisanal and small-scale mining sector, as well as associated responsible sourcing initiatives. She is particularly interested in supporting community development and benefit programming through the incorporation of artisanal and small-scale mining and large-scale mining co-existence models. Tegan is currently based in Victoria, Canada.
Prior to joining RESOLVE, Tegan worked as a communications and project management professional on projects related to the progressive reduction and elimination of mercury-use in the artisanal and small-scale gold mining sector with a focus on the Guianas, Latin America, and Southern Africa. Before that, Tegan was based in Zambia, where she worked on nutrition and climate-smart agriculture programming to scale up maternal and child health nutrition indicators and education. She joined RESOLVE because she is interested in bringing her deep field experience in the artisanal and small-scale gold mining sector and in maternal and child health to all of the stakeholders that RESOLVE’s artisanal and small-scale mining programmatic work touches.
