Stephen D'Esposito

President and CEO, RESOLVE and Regeneration | Board of Trustees

Stephen D'Esposito is the President and CEO of RESOLVE and a solutions strategist. He works across RESOLVE's portfolio, with a focus on natural resources, the energy transition, and sustainable development. He is a resource to leadership in companies, nonprofits, foundations, and communities. Trained as a policy advocate, he helps partners envision, design, and implement innovative solutions to sustainability challenges. He is a frequent keynote speaker.Stephen co-created and chairs RESOLVE Enterprises, an incubator for mission-aligned start-ups. He is founder, President, and CEO of Regeneration a B-Corp start-up that produces biodiversity, community, and climate positive minerals for the energy transition, green tech, and sustainable brands through remining, reprocessing, and restoration. He chairs the board of Nightjar, a conservation technology startup. Stephen has served as President and CEO of EARTHWORKS and chaired the World Economic Forum’s Global Agenda Council on the Future of Mining and Metals. He held senior positions at Greenpeace where he led the International Executive Committee, based in Amsterdam and the New York Public Interest Research Group. He serves on a number of boards and advisory groups. In his community Stephen designed and led volunteer recycling efforts that spread across Washington, D.C. and resulted in the city’s first recycling law in the late 80’s.
