Sanjiv Fernando is a Research Program Coordinator & Project Manager-Biodiversity for RESOLVE's Conservation Solutions team. His work primarily focuses on conserving threatened species, habitat protection, human-wildlife coexistence, and facilitating coalition building and strategic planning processes. Sanjiv coordinates the Quick Response Fund for Nature, manages human-wildlife coexistence initiatives, applies data and spatial analysis to global conservation issues, and supports program management for the Conservation Solutions team. His previous projects at RESOLVE include developing and implementing conservation technologies for wildlife protection and social impact enterprises. Sanjiv's background is in Wildlife Biology and Environmental Science.
Prior to joining RESOLVE, Sanjiv was a Geospatial Consultant at Winrock International. Before that, he completed his Master's degree at Clark University, where he conducted pioneering research on human-leopard conflict in communities bordering Yala National Park in Sri Lanka. Since joining RESOLVE in 2016, Sanjiv continues to drive conservation impact through innovation and collaboration.
