Kalkidan Smith

Chief Financial & Enterprise Officer

Dr. Kalkidan Smith serves as the Chief Financial and Enterprise Officer (CFEO) at RESOLVE, overseeing the finance and resource planning functions, including accounting, financial planning and analysis, risk and assurance, enterprise business management, human resources, as well as digital and facilities operations. With a wealth of expertise in financial management and operational oversight, Kalkidan collaborates closely with the CEO, Board, and program directors to steer RESOLVE toward sustained growth and success across global operations.

Prior to her role at RESOLVE, Kalkidan held leadership positions within several NGOs, demonstrating a strong commitment to financial stewardship and operational excellence across diverse sectors, including social, educational, and cultural institutions. Kalkidan's experience includes leading the financial functions and administrative departments at Alteristic, an NGO specializing in interpersonal violence prevention and training. She has also served as the Senior Director of Growth and Stewardship at Teach for America and as Chief Development Officer at Washington National Cathedral where she oversaw the development and management of multimillion dollar operating and capital budgets.
