Public Health Leadership Forum 

RESOLVE's Public Health Leadership Forum (PHLF) provides public health thought leaders and practitioners a well-organized and facilitated platform to respond to the evolving needs and responsibilities of public health in the context of an ever-changing health landscape. Leveraging the diverse expertise of the leaders engaged, the PHLF amplifies shared learning, scopes and develops solutions to emerging challenges, and advances opportunities for positive transformation of the field. The PHLF develops practical tools and frameworks necessary for public health to effectively achieve its mission of improving health outcomes for all people in partnership with health care organizations, social service agencies, and other entities. 

The PHLF was originally launched with funding from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation in 2014. 

Initiatives undertaken by the PHLF include: 

• Defining and constituting a set of foundational public health services for all governmental public health departments.
  
  
• Visioning and articulating what a high-achieving governmental health department will be doing differently in the year 2020.
  
  
• Shaping the role of the federal government as a strategic partner and as the nation’s Chief Health Strategist.
  
  
• Partnering with the Health Care Transformation Task Force (HCTTF) to develop a framework for enhancing collaboration between public health and health care organizations.
  
  
• Developing a financing system to support public health infrastructure
