Carolyn Burns, Director of Sustainable Resources

Biography

Carolyn is RESOLVE’s Director of Sustainable Resources. In her role, she works with a team of experts to support cross-sector collaboration in the natural resources sector to drive sustained, positive outcomes for impacted communities. Carolyn is a social performance practitioner with 10 years’ experience leading collaborative problem-solving and research projects in the resources sector with affected communities, companies, governments, and civil society organizations. Carolyn is also a part-time MBA instructor in the Global Mining and Metals department at the Schulich School of Business.

Carolyn lives in Toronto with her husband and two kids. She is from Edmonton, Alberta and has lived and worked in many countries. She has a Master of Business Administration from the Schulich School of Business, a Graduate Certificate in Community Relations in the Extractive Sector from Queen’s University, Accreditation from the Partnership Brokers Association, and an Honours Bachelor of Arts from McGill University.
