Anthony Thomas Mansaray, Program Officer

Biography

Anthony Thomas Mansaray is a Program Officer for DDI Sierra Leone, where he is responsible for project coordination, as well as technical and strategic project planning. In this role, he has also supported the formulation and implementation of the Maendeleo Diamond Standards project, including processing Artisanal Mining license acquisitions and renewals, and mentoring, supervising, evaluating, and co-facilitating.  

 

Prior to joining DDI, he had over four years’ experience as a Mining, Geology, and Environmental Services contractor at the Construction, Engineering, Manufacturing, Management, And Technical Services (CEMMATS) Group Limited, a leading engineering consulting firm in Sierra Leone. He has vast experience in Environmental and Social Impact Assessments and Environmental and Social Management Plan processes on projects relating to mining, geology, estate, agriculture, port terminal, and resettlement. He specializes in exploration and mining projects, and he has done considerable work facilitating training for mineral regulatory officials; researching and reviewing mining policies and regulations, and developing a certificate of competency scheme for mine managers in Sierra Leone. He also previously worked as Mining Engineer and Geologist on bauxite project operations.
